The South African Mashona Cattle Breeders Group was established by a group of breeders who believes in the genetic value of the Mashona and the role it will play in the future of commercial cattle farming around the world.

Our primary objective is to provide commercial cattlemen with proven and reliable Mashona genetics that will enable them to build a veld adapted, low maintenance cattle herd.

 

We recognize the uniqueness of the Mashona cattle breed and the fact that it has been selected by nature, over centuries, without being subjected to scientific breed improvements programs.

​With the growing emphasis on environmentally sustainable and regenerative farming practices, commercial cattleman need the right genotypes that will expedite the transformation required in their herds. We believe that this is achievable within the first generation cross when using proven Mashona genetics.
